Campgrounds abound at Kaw Lake. If you want to be right on the lake you can choose from 268 sites in seven different campgrounds owned and maintained by the US Army Corps of Engineers. There is a limit of 14 days at any of these sites.

People looking for longer term should check out the many privately-owned campgrounds in the Kaw Lake area. At the south end near the dam are Camp McFadden, Kaw Lake RV Park and the Lakeview Campground. In Ponca City is the Ponca City RV Park. Several others populate the Kaw City area in the middle of Kaw Lake. Some people like to use these longer term campgrounds to leave their camper for easy weekend and holiday getaways.
